Congratulations to Jaime Preston and Skywalker!
The pair won the Pre- child equitation division in Tryon, NC last month. Although, she had not ridden in awhile before starting back up again in June she came a long way. She beat many accomplished riders that day and I am very proud of her! Since I was away at camp I relied heavily on her to practice on her own the things we worked on in her lessons. Because of her hard work, sense of responsibility, and focus on her goals she overcame many obstacles that would have stopped other students cold. She knew what she wanted and made it happen ( no excuses or whining! ) and I am so happy to have helped her get there. I am very proud of the work we did together and equally proud of the work she did on her own. Best of luck Jaime in college- we miss you!!!

We have a new addition to the Alcolu Equestrian Center family! "Belle", one of our most popular horses has given birth to a handsome colt by Sweetgrass Farm's "Carolina Sunrise". His official birthdate is 4/20/07 at 7:00 pm. He was born with an unusual heart shaped mark on his rump to go along with his beautiful markings. He is healthly and very already rambunctious ! We are still trying to figure out a name for him so send me your suggestions!
Students
Mckensie Michelson and Grace Fulciniti went to the
CEC Sandcastle Farm Horse Show Feb 17 and all did very well despite
the cold weather ! Lauren riding Dixie won 3 second places while Mckensie
and Grace got blues in leadline.
This was Mckensie's first show and
she has a great future! Cooper was his usual cute self and even smiled
for the camera! Gracie triumphantly trotted out of the ring. This
was Dixie's first show and Lauren did a wonderful job with her even
though Dixie was pretty lazy! Way to go all of you, keep up the hard
work and we'll see you at the next show March 17!!
Thanks to our new
student Rudy Ramos for being such a big help and a huge support at
the show. We look forward to great things from this up and coming
rider as well- Camden watch out!!
